The Louisiana Modern Art Museum at Humlebæk has an excellent sculpture collection. Many of them are displayed in their sculpture garden. The works are meant to
“interact with the architecture and the surrounding nature“
and have been carefully positioned to achieve this.
These are some of the works I particularly liked.
Beautiful sculptures in a gorgeous setting.
I was particularly interested in the Jean Arp sculpture as I have been trying to find out more about him recently. Gordon Baldwin, the ceramicist, has been greatly influenced by him and the influence is very apparent here, unlike some of Jean Arp’s work I have seen elsewhere.
