During previous visits to Amsterdam I’ve always liked the way they make mint tea with fresh sprigs of mint rather than a tea bag. This time a new discovery – ginger tea made with slices of root ginger in hot water with a little honey to add according to taste. Delicious – even though it might have looked like somebody had put slices of raw potato into the glass!
Sounds lovely
Certainly was. Very warming on a cold day.
I love when people make drinks using whole ingredients! In Russia I had tarhun (tarragon-flavored soda) made from nothing but tarragon, soda water and a pinch of sugar – it was amazing!
That sounds like a different, interesting concoction 😊
I’ve done that before when I had an upset stomach. The cookies/biscuits look mighty tasty. And may I inquire what is that chocolate-y decadence behind your ginger tea?
The ginger tea was good even without a poorly tummy! The chocolatey decadence was just that. Hot chocolate with whipped cream.
Love ginger so bet I would love this. 🙂
Easy to make too!
Last year, my friend over-ordered on her online shopping and ended up with a ton of ginger (well, not quite). Some of it is still in our freezer; this would be a good thing to do with it.
Great order for ton of ginger.
You can always send me some 😉

Try hot water with a slice of ginger and a slice of lemon and maybe a touch of honey.
