This relatively small Georgian house is where John Wesley, the founder of Methodism lived during the last eleven years of his life – when he wasn’t touring the country preaching. His mother is buried in the Bunhill Fields cemetery which is directly across the road.
The house stands next to the chapel where he used to preach
The house and chapel are both open for visitors and it would have been interesting to have a look around. But it was closed by the time I’d had a look around the cemetery.
